Smash, Bash, Car Crash
On early Monday morning, around 9:45 a car crashed into multiple parked vehicles in Eastbays parking lot. The driver who crashed was a 75-year-old male. Instantly, the car burst into flames with the man still inside. When the firefighters arrived the car was scorched on the interior. Five bystanders were brave enough to jump into the situation and try to save the man. They were rewarded when he was pulled out from the car. Two of the bystanders burnt their own hands and one had to perform CPR on the driver of the car. The man was rushed to the Aspirus Wausau Hospital but died later of his injuries. The cause of how the car crashed is undetermined but suspected that a medical emergency struck and he crashed. The name of the victim has not been released according to the date of November 1st.
Metal Candy
In Wisconsin Rapids, a kid went trick-or-treating. He was trick-or-treating around the neighborhood library. At one of the houses, he got a piece of candy with a nail in it. His mom does not know with house gave him the vandalized piece of candy.The police also have no leads for who gave it out. The police are telling parents to look over any Halloween candy. Any candy that looks tampered with should be thrown away. There is a reward for whoever might know who handed out the candy. The reward is up to $1,000.
