On their way to their biggest game of the season, Brazil’s Chapecoense soccer team’s plane was said to have run out of fuel, leaving them to crash. Of the 77 people who boarded the plane, only 6 survived, meaning that 71 people had died. Two crew members, three soccer players and one journalist survived. Amid the survivors was Alan Luciano Ruschel, who was a defender for Associação Chapecoense de Futebol. One day after the plane had crashed, a remembrance was held where people wore white and with candles for the players deceased players.
